Rules

By registering for Bust The Bookmaker, you agree to abide by the site terms and conditions, and the rules as set out below.

1. This website is for adults only. No under 18's please.

2. A calendar week on Bust The Bookmaker runs from midnight on a Friday until midnight the following Friday. A calendar month runs from midnight on the first day of the month until midnight on the last day of the month. The football season runs from the first schedule of matches until all matches in the season have been played.

3. When you register, your status will be Newbie however you will be awarded with a Gold, Silver or Bronze rating once you have submitted predictions for 4 fixtures. Remember you can only make predictions up to 7 days in advance of the fixture. Where a team doesn't play in a given week, members who support that team will still have access to the predictions made by other members.

4. Where a team doesn't play in a given week, members who support that team will still have access to the predictions. However if your team does play a game, and you haven't entered predictions, you will not have access to predictions by other members.

5. Where one team plays more fixtures than another in a week, we will use the member's average score for the week to calculate 'Member of the Week'.

6. The criterion for ranking members in the league table is as follows: If scores are tied we rank by scores for the last 4 fixtures. If scores are still tied we rank according to how long you have been a member- the longer you've been a member, the higher you appear in the league.

7. Failure to make predictions in any given week will bring your average score down. This is because 'negative points' are awarded for inaccuracy. A full description of the scoring system will be available when the season begins.

8. Predictions can only be made for games that are due to take place within the next seven days.

9. We do not have access to your personal accounts. Therefore we can't make predictions on your behalf should you request this. Please email us using our contact page at the earliest opportunity if you are experiencing difficulties.

10. We are not responsible for problems with your PC, internet connection or other technical faults unrelated to our website.

11.Only one set of predictions can be made by any one person. Any user found to have registered for Bust The Bookmaker more than once will have all of their membership's removed. Any membership fee already paid at this point will be non-refundable.

12. Bust The Bookmaker reserve the right to temporarily remove a membership in the event of a username being deemed inappropriate or likely to cause offence. Failure to provide a new acceptable username within a reasonable time frame will result in the membership being permanently removed. Any membership fee already paid at this point will be non-refundable.

13. The 'Member of the Week' will be contacted by email. In order to have your picture and details posted in our 'Member of the Week' section you must reply to our email by 22:00 on the Monday of the week in question. Failure to do so will result in us posting the details of the next highest scoring member.

14. We will automatically send you an email approximately 36 hours before a fixture if you are yet to submit your predictions. You can opt out of this service from your 'My Account' section, or by following the instructions at the bottom of the email you receive.

15. By registering to Bust The Bookmaker you allow for your full name and/or username alias to be reproduced on our website where appropriate.

16. Bust The Bookmaker wishes to stress that the 'Top Tips' made on a weekly basis are based on the predictions provided by members. We apply formulae to these predictions to assist us in creating our 'Top Tips'. While we will go to all reasonable lengths to ensure information is accurate and up to date, we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies in information on the website, including, but not limited to: odds offered by bookmakers; Top Tips; results from past fixtures. This website is designed to act as a useful source of information for those who enjoy making wagers as a hobby. We don't make unrealistic promises of guaranteed profits. We strongly encourage responsible gambling.

17. The rules of Bust The Bookmaker are subject to change at short notice. Please check back regularly to stay aware of the rules.
