Frequently Asked Questions

1. I'm having problems registering:

Your password must contain more than six characters or digits and must have no spaces. It is also CaSe SenSiTivE.

2. I've registered but can't seem to log in:

Ensure you have clicked on the link in the 'registration email' we sent you. You should then be able to log in from the home page www.bustthebookmaker.com.

3. I've forgotten my password!

We all do it! Click on the 'forgotten your password' link next to the login fields on the home page www.bustthebookmaker.com.

4. Where do I make my predictions?

You must be logged in to do this. Simply log in and click on 'My Account' located on the main navigation bar, then 'My predictions'. When you log in you will be automatically directed to the page where you can make predictions. If you do not wish to make your predictions at that moment you can continue navigating through the site. Please note you will not be able to access certain areas of the website until you have made your predictions for the next round of fixtures.

5. I can't see this week's top tips!

You must be logged in to do this. You must also have made your predictions for that week's round of fixtures.

6. I have registered but I want to change my details such as my email address.

Simply log in and click on 'My Account' located on the main navigation bar, then 'Edit details'. You can change all of your information here (other than your username). You can also access your past predictions and a host of interesting info relating to you!

7. How does the scoring system work?

A full explanation of the scoring system will appear here before the season commences!

8. What criterion is used for ranking the 'Members League Table'?

The first criteria used is your average score. If scores are tied we rank by scores for the last 4 fixtures. If scores are still tied we rank according to how long you have been a member- the longer you've been a member, the higher you appear in the league.

9. What criterion is used for ranking the Team League Table?

This is the average score attained by members supporting each particular team.

10. Can I make predictions for a fixture more than one week in advance?

No. Accuracy is fundamental to this website. We want you to take into account the latest goings on at your club. Therefore we only allow predictions for games that are due to take place within the next seven days. If you are unable to make predictions for the following week send your best mate an email. I'm sure they won't mind doing it for you.

11. Can you email me to remind me to make predictions?

Of course we can. In fact we will send you a weekly email reminder automatically unless you would prefer we didn't. You can turn automatic emails on and off from the 'My Account' page.
